10 MLM Recruiting Mistakes
MLM recruiting can be an exhausting and frustrating process, especially if you make some common mistakes that many Network Marketers do. The worst part about it is that it is an absolute necessity for those who want to have any kind of MLM success. Recruiting is the life line of a MLM business. It must be mastered and entrepreneurs must avoid those all too common MLM recruiting mistakes.
Mistakes of the Average Network Marketers When It Comes to MLM Recruiting
#1. They talk too much. Especially common with newbies, they have to learn to ask more questions, listen, and respond wisely, working towards the ultimate goal which is this, does the person have a need or want for what is potentially being offered.
#2. They try to sell on the product or company instead of what the marketer can offer them (aka. why should the prospect work with them or do business with them)
#3. They go out and about trying to talking to people with the only purpose of trying to get names and numbers. This is so common and so obvious. People automatically put up walls. It has to be a natural process. There has to be an established relationship before most people with work with a Network Marketer. Rarely will a stranger be open to or sign up into a MLM, no matter how wonderful the company or product is.
#4. They don’t ask enough questions to determine if the prospect is even interested or what exactly they need. Not everyone needs or wants any given product or company. Again, refer back to #1. And at any point if the prospect stops showing interest, they must move on to a different subject and leave it alone or else they are potentially damaging a relationship.
MLM Recruiting Is Easier If There Are More Questions Being Asked and Less Talking by the Network Marketer
#5. They don’t overcome objections before trying to close or ask for personal contact information. Again, they have to ask questions, and naturally progress the conversation from, are they interested to closing the prospect, and in the mean time, if the doors remain open, make sure nothing will stand in the way when it comes time for them to commit and sign up.
#6. They don’t follow up. Simple, if the Network Marketer gets contact information, it is very common for them to not set a specific time to follow up and tend to forget and wait too long. Always follow up within 1-2 days unless otherwise determined by the conversation (For example-they asked to be contacted in a month because of XYZ).
#7. They don’t close. Many Network Marketers are afraid to ask for info or for the person to commit if they are showing interest. If all the questions have been asked, the objections overcome, and they are still interested, there must be a close, or they won’t follow through, guaranteed.
#8. They don’t talk to enough people. Based on the person’s goals, they should be talking to at least 2-3 people each and every day. It’s a numbers game and in Network Marketing, it takes quite a few numbers to get a person that sticks. So the more they talk to, the quicker they will grow, and the, quicker they will make money.
#9. They aren’t talking to the right people. It’s called a target niche. Network Marketers have to learn to market a.k.a. target the right people who are already prone to be interested in what they are offering. And yes, marketing is a MUST if they want to make more than $100 a month.
Master MLM Recruiting By Going Online
#10. They don’t have an online presence. These days, taking businesses online is really a necessity. There is so much potential and so many people looking for opportunity and products. I believe online marketing is essential for growing any MLM business and makes MLM recruiting easier, by far. And online marketing isn’t has hard as many would think. It just takes the right training and platform, and in a matter of time, success would be inevitable.
